You have chosen the role of the builder/mechanic. You will use your talents to construct a sturdy shelter for your group. You will also create many of the basic and necessary tools for survival. Your knowledge will come in handy for creating items that will help the hunter and gardener who are working hard to survive with you.

You will want to ask yourself questions such as: Will you build your foundation on soft sand, firm soil, or sturdy rock? What types of materials will you use to create your shelter? (mud, wood, rocks, etc.) What hazards will likely threaten your shelter? (hurricanes, floods, landslides, erosion, etc.) Will you have access to natural materials that will be useful for creating tools and survival materials?
